Cuban Rings
A Cuban ring is the flat Cuban link all the way around your finger, in silver-tone and gold-tone stainless steel. The sizes are US sizes, 7 to 11; because the band is wide, choose the larger size when in doubt between two.
A Cuban ring is the Cuban link made as a ring: flat, interlocking links that run all the way around your finger. That makes it instantly recognizable if you also wear a Cuban chain or bracelet.
Completing the set
This is the third piece next to the Cuban chain and Cuban bracelet. A ring counts separately in the whole look because it sits somewhere else, so you can wear it without it becoming too much. Choose the ring in the same color as the chain and bracelet.
Choosing your size
Our ring sizes 7 to 11 are US sizes; we do not stock half sizes. Measure a ring you already wear: place it on a ruler, measure the inner diameter in millimeters and look it up in the ring size chart. Size 7 is 17.3 mm, size 8 is 18.1 mm, size 9 is 18.9 mm, size 10 is 19.8 mm and size 11 is 20.6 mm. In doubt between two sizes? Take the larger one: a wide link ring touches more skin and slides over your knuckle less easily.
Which finger
A Cuban ring is wide and looks best on the ring finger or the middle finger. Also wearing a signet ring? Spread them over two hands. On the same hand as your watch, choose the same color as the watch case.
Cuban ring or signet ring?
A Cuban ring is a link all the way around: it looks lively and suits a Cuban chain or bracelet. A signet ring has a flat face you can have engraved and looks more classic. A Cuban ring also goes with a plain chain or bracelet, as long as the color matches. It comes in a Carpe Ice jewelry box.
Material
Both models are stainless steel, harder than silver, although steel scratches too with hard contact. The silver-tone ring is bare, polished steel with no coating: it does not discolor and can go in the shower. The gold-tone one has a five-layer PVD finish, harder than ordinary plating but still a layer: take it off before the shower and the gym. Both come off before the pool, because chlorine is harsher than shower water. A ring takes more knocks than a chain or bracelet. Take it off for DIY jobs and weight training, and wipe it with a soft cloth now and then.
