Ring Size Chart – Find Your Ring Size

The right ring size gives you comfort and stops a ring from sitting too tight or sliding off. A ring that fits slides smoothly over your knuckle and sits firmly on your finger without pinching.

Step 1: find your ring size

Option 1: measure a ring you already own

  • Take a ring that fits you well
  • Measure the inside diameter in millimeters with a ruler
  • Use the table below to find your size

Option 2: measure your finger

  • Wrap a piece of string or a strip of paper around your finger
  • Mark where the ends meet
  • Measure that length in millimeters
  • Use the table below to work out your size

Step 2: use the size chart

Which ring size fits best?

Size 5 to 6 for slim fingers
Size 7 to 9 for average fingers, the most popular
Size 10 to 12 for wider fingers

Most Carpe Ice customers pick size 7, 8, 9 or 10.

Tips for measuring

Measure your finger at the end of the day for the most accurate size
Do not measure when your hands are cold, because your fingers are smaller then
Make sure the ring passes comfortably over your knuckle
Measure two or three times to be sure

Planning to have the ring engraved? Settle the size first, because the width of the band decides how much text stays readable. Our guide to ring engraving ideas shows what works at each width.

Example

If your measured diameter is 19.0 mm, your ring size is 9, one of the most chosen sizes.
