Layering
Wearing several necklaces together works best with at least 5 cm difference in length, so they do not touch. Combine one chain with a pendant and one plain chain alongside it; two pendants at once looks busy.
With stones
Moissanite refracts light more strongly than diamond and stays clear longer than cubic zirconia. Cubic zirconia is the affordable version, but goes duller over time. If you want something subtler with meaning, have a look at the clover bracelets.
Material
925 sterling silver is a real precious metal with a warm, deep shine. It can tarnish slightly, which a silver cloth removes straight away. Take it off before the pool. Silver-colored stainless steel is bare, polished steel with no coating: the color does not change, no tarnish builds up and wiping it with a dry cloth is enough. The gold and rose gold models, the stone-set pieces on nickel-free copper alloy and the white gold plated moissanite models all carry a layer: take those off before the shower, the gym and the pool.
