45 to 50 cm sits around the collarbones and is the most versatile length — visible with a blouse, out of the way with a turtleneck. If you want to layer, add a second chain of 55 to 60 cm.

If you want maximum sparkle for little money: cubic zirconia. If you want it to look just as good years from now: moissanite. Cubic zirconia is softer and goes duller over time; moissanite stays clear and refracts light even more strongly than diamond.

925 silver reacts slowly with the air and can go duller. That is normal and not a fault: a soft silver cloth removes it in a couple of minutes. Store your jewelry dry and separately and it happens far more slowly. Stainless steel does not have this.
