Cubic Zirconia Jewelry Collection
Cubic zirconia — usually shortened to CZ — is the most widely used stone in affordable jewelry with sparkle. Clear, hard enough for everyday wear, and a fraction of the price of diamond.
What you get
A well-cut cubic zirconia returns a lot of white light and looks barely different from diamond at a distance. It is the stone behind virtually all iced out jewelry and our tennis bracelets and necklaces.
Cubic zirconia versus moissanite
An honest difference: cubic zirconia is softer and becomes duller and slightly milky over time, especially once soap gets under the setting. Moissanite stays clear and refracts light more strongly, but costs more. If you want maximum sparkle for little money, cubic zirconia is the right choice; if you want it to look the same in years to come, choose moissanite.
Care
This is where most of the gain is. Soap and body lotion build up under the setting, and that is exactly what makes cubic zirconia look dull. Brush the setting gently now and then with lukewarm water and a soft toothbrush.
