Signet Ring Silver, Engraved with Your Own Text or Photo
A signet ring is the oldest personalised jewelry there is. The flat face was originally used to press a seal into wax, which is exactly why it works so well for engraving today: it gives a clean, flat surface with room for a name, initials, a date or a photograph. In silver-tone stainless steel, in sizes 6 to 10.

Why silver is the better surface for engraving
Engraving cuts into the metal, so what sits on top matters. Here there is no coating at all: the cut lines show as a slightly darker tone against bare steel, which gives clean, permanent contrast that cannot wear off because it is not a finish.
No plating, so the engraving keeps its contrast for good
Does not tarnish, unlike sterling silver
Hard enough to resist the marks a ring collects daily
Washing your hands, the gym and the shower are all fine
Matches a steel watch and any silver-tone jewelry you own
Text or photo engraving
Text is included in the price. Initials, a name, a date or a short word all work, and fewer characters means larger, clearer lettering.
Photo engraving is a small surcharge. It works best with a high-contrast image, ideally a face against a plain background, since fine detail is lost on a face this size.
Plan what you want before ordering, since an engraved ring is made specifically for you.
Choosing your size
Measure a ring you already wear rather than your finger. Place it on a ruler and measure the inner diameter in millimetres.
Size 6 is 16.5mm
Size 7 is 17.3mm
Size 8 is 18.1mm
Size 9 is 18.9mm
Size 10 is 19.8mm
Measure at the end of the day, when your hands are at their largest. Between two sizes take the larger one, and remember that an engraved ring cannot be exchanged for a different size, so it is worth measuring twice.
Which finger
Traditionally a signet ring is worn on the little finger of the non-dominant hand, which is still the most common choice and the one that reads as deliberate. The ring finger works too if you are not wearing anything else there. Wearing it on the non-dominant hand also keeps the engraved face clear of most daily contact.
Care
Rinse it with lukewarm water when it needs it and dry with a soft cloth. No polishing cloth, no storage rules. Engraved lines hold a little more residue than a flat surface, so run a soft toothbrush over the face occasionally to keep it sharp.
