The jubilee link is made of five rows side by side, with narrow links flanking the broader ones. That makes the bracelet 10mm wide and completely flexible, so it folds around the wrist instead of sitting on it like a stiff band. The base is stainless steel with a rose gold-tone finish applied in five layers of PVD.

Why Rose Looks Different Than Yellow Gold
Rose is a warmer, softer tone that sits closer to the skin than yellow gold. That works well on this link: a jubilee is built from dozens of small elements, so light breaks on many small faces at once instead of on a few large ones. Rose softens that shine into a glow rather than a flash, so the bracelet is noticed without turning hard. It is the least loud of the three tones, while at 10mm it is still very much seen.
Five Layers of PVD on Dozens of Moving Links
The rose gold color is applied with PVD, physical vapor deposition: the material is bonded to the steel at molecular level inside a vacuum chamber rather than electroplated on top, and Carpe Ice applies it in five layers. That makes the finish considerably harder and more scratch-resistant than ordinary gold plating. On a jubilee that counts more than on any other bracelet, because dozens of links move against each other constantly; that is friction from the inside, on top of the rubbing along sleeves and table edges. It is not solid gold, so take the bracelet off for sport and DIY, and wear it on your non-dominant wrist where you can. The silver-tone jubilee does not need that: it is bare steel with no coating, while this one carries a rose gold layer that can wear through.
How Tight It Should Sit
The bracelet comes in 18, 20 and 22 cm (7.1, 7.9 and 8.7 in). A jubilee with a fold-over clasp should sit just loose enough to slide a centimeter along your wrist. Any tighter and the rows of links press into your skin and the clasp is under tension. Any looser and it turns through to the underside of your wrist, so you spend the day looking at the clasp instead of the link pattern.
Care
Take the bracelet off before the pool, the shower and the gym, and put it on once fragrance and hand cream have dried. There is more dirt between five rows of links than you would think, and that is what dulls the glow; lukewarm water, mild soap and a soft toothbrush will lift it out. Dry it thoroughly afterwards and do not use a polishing cloth.
Styling
Rose gold is the hardest tone to mix, so keep to one metal color on that wrist. Beside a watch it works best when the case itself is rose or dark; next to a steel case you get a difference in tone that you keep noticing. Wear it on your free wrist instead, with a few centimeters of space if something does go beside it.
