Getting the size right first time
Wrap a strip of paper around your wrist just below the wrist bone and measure where the ends meet.
Add 1.5 to 2 cm for a comfortable fit that moves but stays in place
Add about 1 cm if you like it close to the skin
At 10MM, add the full 2 cm, since a wide set link sits higher off the wrist
An 18 cm wrist usually takes the 20 cm size, and between two sizes the larger one gives the better drape.
