Cuban Link Bracelet Silver ICED OUT (6mm, 8mm & 10mm) Where Finish and Stones Run Into Each Other
Every Cuban link here is set separately, with settings that follow the curve of the link. That means light breaks link by link rather than along one continuous line, and the sparkle travels in blocks as your wrist moves. In silver tone the finish blends seamlessly into the VVS CZ stones, so the bracelet looks like one unbroken surface. The finish is applied in five layers of PVD.

Why a Copper Alloy and Not Stainless Steel
On an iced out Cuban every link has to be set separately. Copper can be worked more finely than stainless steel, so the settings close tightly around each stone and almost no metal shows between them. That's why virtually every serious iced out piece is built on a copper base. Copper is also denser than hollow steel, and on a wrist you notice that right away: the bracelet feels heavy, not hollow.
Five Layers of PVD, and Why That Counts on a Wrist
The silver color is applied with PVD, physical vapor deposition: the material is bonded at molecular level inside a vacuum chamber rather than electroplated on top, and Carpe Ice applies it in five layers. That makes the finish considerably harder and more scratch resistant than an ordinary coating. On a wrist, that matters most: it rubs against sleeves and table edges all day, and in silver tone a worn spot would show right away as a warmer undertone. The alloy underneath is nickel free.
Choosing Width and Size
The 6mm stays in proportion even next to a watch. The 8mm is our most popular width and gets noticed without dominating your wrist. The 10mm is pure statement, with the heaviest links and the broadest field of stones. The bracelet comes in 18, 20 and 22 cm (7.1, 7.9 and 8.7 in): measure your wrist and add about 1.5 cm. With the wider versions you'll want a little more slack, so the bracelet can turn and the stones keep catching the light from a different angle.
Keeping It Sparkling
A copper alloy is more sensitive to moisture than steel, so it's a piece for going out rather than for the gym. Take the bracelet off before showering, swimming and training, apply fragrance and hand cream before you put it on, and store it dry in the box it came in. There's a layer on it, this silver tone version included, because here that color is PVD over copper; only the silver tone pieces in bare steel have no layer and can stay on. Dust gathers between the links faster than on a smooth bracelet; a dry, soft toothbrush lifts it right out.
Alone or as a Set
Silver tone iced out matches the case and bracelet of almost any steel watch, which makes it easier to combine than gold. Do leave a few centimeters between them, because the watch case is harder than the finish. With the Cuban link chain in the same width, you get a set that clearly belongs together.
