Cuban Bracelet 18K Gold Plated (5mm) With More Weight Than a Steel Version
The same cuban link as the chain, but on a wrist it asks more of the finish. The base is solid 925 sterling silver with 18K gold plating at 1 micron. The flat links stay neatly on top of your wrist instead of turning to the underside, which is what a round link does.

What a Day of Wear Does to a Gold Layer
We would rather say this beforehand than afterwards. Your wrist rubs all day along sleeves, table edges, a steering wheel and a seatbelt, and a gold layer is not solid gold. What counts here is the thickness: 1 micron is double the usual plating standard of around 0.5 micron. And what lies underneath counts just as much: solid 925 silver. If the layer wears through somewhere, silver appears and not a base metal, and a jeweller can re-plate the bracelet on a sound base. Wear it on your non-dominant wrist and do not set it tight against a steel watch, because that case is harder than plated silver. There is a layer on it, so take it off before the pool, the shower, sport and DIY; the silver-coloured bracelets in bare steel have no layer and can stay on.
Plated on Silver or Gold-Tone Steel?
We carry both, and for a bracelet the trade-off is sharper than for a chain. The cuban bracelet in gold-tone stainless steel has a 5x PVD finish that is harder than plating and costs a fraction. This one has a core of precious metal, weighs more and can be restored. If you wear it daily and hard, steel is more practical; if you want value in the material, this is the choice.
Which Size
The bracelet comes in 18, 20 and 22 cm. Measure your wrist with a strip of paper and add about 1.5 cm. A cuban bracelet is meant to lie flat, so too loose is less comfortable here than on a woven link: it will still turn to the underside. If you land exactly between two sizes, take the smaller one, unless you deliberately want it looser.
Care
Lukewarm water, a drop of mild soap and a soft cloth are enough. Do not use silver polish, abrasives or an ultrasonic bath: those are meant for solid metal and attack a finish instead. Soap and hand cream collect between the flat links, so rinse well and pat the bracelet dry.
