Layering
Wearing several necklaces together works best with at least 5 cm difference in length, so they do not touch: 45, 50 and 55 cm is a combination that works. Combine one chain with a pendant and one plain chain next to it; two pendants at once gets busy. A fine 2 mm rope or box chain is the base you build the rest around.
Earrings and rings
The 4.7 to 5 mm studs are the classic choice for every day; the 7.5 mm square studs and the hoops stand out more. Ring sizes are US sizes: the moissanite solitaire ring comes in 5 to 9, the tennis ring in 7, 8 and 9. Measure your ring size with a ring you already wear and look up the inner diameter in the ring size chart.
The right size
On a necklace, 45 cm falls right on the collarbone and 50 cm just below it. For a bracelet, measure your wrist just below the wrist bone and add 1.5 to 2 cm. Rope and figaro bracelets also come in 16 cm, most others in 18 cm and longer.
With stones
Moissanite refracts light more strongly than diamond and stays clear for longer than cubic zirconia. Cubic zirconia is the affordable option, but turns duller over time. Material
925 sterling silver is a real precious metal with a warm, deep shine; it can tarnish slightly, which a silver cloth polishes away in no time. Take it off before the pool. Silver-tone stainless steel is bare, polished steel with no coating: it does not discolor, no tarnish builds up and a wipe with a dry cloth is enough. The gold-tone and rose gold-tone models, the stone-set pieces in nickel-free copper alloy and the moissanite models with white gold plating do have a layer: take those off before the shower, the gym and the pool.
